Below is a great video of Luigi Gallo in which he speaks about custom tailored suits and his tailoring school in Rome. I personally agree with Luigi Gallo’s statement that “the suit is not branded… like my father used to brand his cattle…with an iron”…

An Unbelievable Custom Tailored Suit

Matthew Richardson of MTMReview.com loves custom tailored suits and custom shirts. He writes about his personal experiences of MTM clothiers and custom tailors on his website to guide people to right and suitable custom clothiers.
Matthew’s first visit to Imparali Custom Tailors was for a custom MTM shirt which he loved and wrote an impressive article about it here. This time he came for a custom tailored suit and declared it “an unbelievable custom garment“.
He settled for a design which included duo tone stripe on a charcoal background, single breasted closure, peak labels, hacking pockets including a ticket pocket.
Read his complete story below or here.

Imparali Custom Tailors did it again, they produced an unbelievable custom garment. If you have read my review of the custom shirt I commissioned from Imparali Custom Tailors, you know that I was impressed. Wanting a trendy aggressive look for my next suit, I decided to call Matt and place an order from Imparali Custom Tailors. Just as before, Matt was extremely easy to work with, remembered me by name and started giving me ideas for design. I settled for a duo tone stripe on a charcoal background, single breasted closure, peak labels, hacking pockets including a ticket pocket. I stayed with a subtle lining for the jacket. The trousers are flat front with no turn up. The great thing with this suit is I can dress it up or tone it down depending on the event I am attending. I am very satisfied with my experience with Imparali Custom Tailors. visit their website for you next purchase http://www.imparali.com

Mens Double Breasted Suits & Jackets

Did you know that Double Breasted Suits are back in style and now you look more classic and stylish with a double breasted jacket on. Following are some important and worth to notice points about the come back of double breasted suits from Matt Harpalani’s interview with Tim Jarvis of “The Rule of Style”.

Reinvented Fit of Double Breasted Suits: The fit of the modern double-breasted jacket has been reinvented to showcase a sleeker look — one that, while still holding its own during a boardroom showdown, can just as easily turn admiring heads at a trendy New York City nightclub. The jacket should skim the body, not hug it. And to make sure the silhouette looks modern, the shoulders should be soft and tailored, not too sharp. Some of the recent looks also include vents and are paired with flat-front pants instead of the pleated variety. They will also often have longer lapels that extend toward the waist.

Two-to-Button Vs Three-to-Button: Older double-breasted suits were also typically three-to-button with six buttons showing after the flap over,” says Harpalani. “Nowadays, you’ll find two-to-button or even one-to-button jackets, with some having four — or as few as two — buttons on the front.

Wearing the New Double Breast: Harpalani cautions that not everyone can pull off the modern double-breasted look. “Today’s designs are geared toward men with slimmer, more athletic builds,” he says. “They accomplish a better-fitting, trimmer look — especially around the midsection — by using a slightly different pattern, less material and a higher armhole.” But even if you possess one of those tight, rippling bods that look like they’ve been Photoshopped, wearing a new double breast comes with some drawbacks. Harpalani advises that the jacket should remain buttoned at all times — yep, even when seated. And to truly look your best, you’ll really need to make sure the fit is outstanding. Nevertheless, if Harpalani is right, the extra time and effort will be worth the payoff. The effect will be stylish and refined, and you’ll attract a lot of attention for all the right reasons.

Another thing worth noting is, in the past, double-breasted suits were primarily used for office wear, but today you can feel just as comfortable wearing this classic look at social occasions such as wedding receptions, the theater or cocktail parties. “The double-breasted suit is much more versatile than it used to be,” adds Harpalani. “But if you’re going to wear one for an informal event, pick out a suit in a lighter shade and try wearing an open-neck shirt instead of a tie.”
